It was an exciting night for us in Manchester when Cyril Holland from BCH picked up the coveted 'Innovation in Housing Technology 2010' on behalf of the whole team.
BCH has completely modernised the delivery of its responsive maintenance service by implementing Connect. The focus is on speedy customer service and the emphasis on completing repairs first time, minimising the inconvenience to the tenant and provide value for money.
Connect allows BCH to plan and issue all work electronically and trade staff now complete all jobs on the PDAs instead of fillling in endless bits of paper .All types of jobs are handled within the system from a simple Assist for the handyman, through to a complex Void for the technichal officer.
Sharon Pickford and her team in Customer service can now spend less time on admin, and more time actually talking to the tenant.
